A16_1: Schematic Design Process (Massing + Site + Program)

The following studies shows how the interaction between massing, site and program is imperative to make the design flow appropriately.

The re-defined sketches of floor plans and sections are shown below oriented correctly to the north.

Working on digital massing and floor plans along with spaces design (feelings & interaction)...

  1. THe plan diagram with a bar and an oval performance hall and circulation in between can work nicely. The bar can relate quite directly to the established context on the north and east; the performance hall can relate to the water. Clarifying the section will help at this point. Feel free to insert the form of an existing hall - even tracing the shape overlaid on your diagrams to understand the size, shape and constraints.

  2. i think that conceptually you have understood what you want to achieve.i will direct you to the drawings. whilst his projects are organic there is an underlying understanding of the geopmetry that adds a richness to his bulding.
I believe that you have come to the point were you can begin resolving the planning with circulation and wall thickness being included in the drawings.
your journey has begun.Have fun .
